Hydrodog Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You must maintain one (1) HydroDog Vehicle for every 100,000 population (or fraction thereof) in your Territory.

If additional vehicles are required based on population, you must add each required additional HydroDog Vehicle within 6 months after commencing operations or within 6 months of any population increase that triggers the requirement for an additional vehicle.

Failure to add required vehicles within these timeframes will constitute a default under the Franchise Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, you must maintain one HydroDog Vehicle for every 100,000 in population, or any fraction thereof, within your designated territory. This means that even if your territory has a population slightly over 100,000, you are still required to have two vehicles.

The FDD specifies that if additional vehicles are required due to population, you must add them within six months of commencing operations or within six months of any population increase that triggers the need for another vehicle. Failing to meet this requirement constitutes a default under the Franchise Agreement, which could lead to penalties or termination of your franchise.

This requirement ensures that franchisees can adequately serve their territory's customer base. It's important for prospective franchisees to consider the population of their territory and the potential costs associated with acquiring and operating multiple vehicles when evaluating the financial feasibility of the Hydrodog franchise. The initial investment table in Item 7 of the FDD lists the estimated costs for leasing or purchasing a HydroDog Vehicle, which range from $1,000 to $2,500 monthly for a leased vehicle and $105,000 to $155,000 for a purchased vehicle.
