What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the late payment fee is charged in addition to any other fees that may be due. Specifically, if a Hydrodog franchisee fails to pay royalties, marketing fund fees, amounts due for purchases, or any other amounts owed to Hydrodog or its affiliates on time, a late payment fee will be assessed. This late fee is calculated as ten percent (10%) of the overdue amount or the highest rate permitted by law.
This late payment fee is due immediately upon any delinquent payments. The FDD emphasizes that the imposition of late payment fees does not imply that Hydrodog condones late payments or is willing to extend credit to franchisees.
In addition to the late payment fee, Hydrodog also charges an insufficient funds fee of $50.00 if a payment is rejected due to insufficient funds or a stop payment order. Hydrodog retains the discretion to apply any payments received from the franchisee to any past due debts. These policies underscore the importance of timely payments to maintain good standing with the Hydrodog franchise and avoid additional charges.
