What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Initial Training Fee of $5,000 is due at the time you sign the Franchise Agreement. This fee is nonrefundable and covers the HydroDog Academy training program. Franchisees are also responsible for covering all expenses and costs incurred while attending training or conferences, including wages, travel, and living expenses. If a franchisee transfers their franchise, the new franchisee may be charged the then-current Initial Training Fee for their owners and employees to attend the initial training program.

Hydrodog requires successful completion of the HydroDog Academy, any other initial training, and any additional or extended initial training before opening a HydroDog Business to the public. If a franchisee fails to meet Hydrodog's standards in the skills assessment, they will be required to attend a dog grooming academy of Hydrodog's choosing at their own expense before the Initial Training.

All training fees and expense reimbursements are due ten (10) days after invoicing. This means that while the initial fee is due upon signing, any subsequent training-related expenses will be invoiced and must be paid within 10 days of the invoice date. This could include additional training fees if the franchisee or their staff do not meet Hydrodog's performance standards, or if additional training is requested and approved.
