If Hydrodog is not offering new franchises at the time of renewal, what terms apply?

Hydrodog Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

If that happens, to the extent it is allowed by the concerned law, rule, regulation, statute, ordinance or order, your renewal term will be subject to the conditions of the franchise agreement we are using for new franchisees at the time the renewal period begins.

If we are not then offering new franchises, your renewal period will be subject to the terms in the franchise agreement that we indicate.

If for any reason that is not allowed, the renewal term will be governed by the terms of this Agreement.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the terms of franchise renewal depend on whether Hydrodog is offering new franchises at the time of renewal. If Hydrodog is offering new franchises, the renewal term will be subject to the conditions of the franchise agreement they are using for new franchisees at that time.

However, if Hydrodog is not offering new franchises at the time of renewal, the renewal period will be subject to the terms in the franchise agreement that Hydrodog indicates. If, for any reason, that is not allowed, the renewal term will be governed by the terms of the current franchise agreement.

This means that a Hydrodog franchisee seeking renewal needs to be aware that the terms could change significantly depending on Hydrodog's current franchising activities. If no new franchises are being offered, Hydrodog has the discretion to set the renewal terms, potentially leading to unexpected conditions. It is important for prospective franchisees to understand these potential changes and discuss them with Hydrodog before signing the franchise agreement.
