What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, even if Hydrodog obtains insurance coverage on behalf of the franchisee, the franchisee's obligation to maintain insurance coverage is not reduced or absolved. This means that the franchisee remains responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage as outlined in the franchise agreement, regardless of any insurance Hydrodog may obtain on their behalf.
This requirement protects Hydrodog from potential liabilities arising from the franchisee's operations. The franchisee must fully cooperate with Hydrodog in obtaining insurance policies, including signing required forms and allowing inspections of the Hydrodog Business.
Furthermore, the franchisee is responsible for paying, on demand, any costs and premiums incurred by Hydrodog in obtaining insurance on the franchisee's behalf. This ensures that Hydrodog is reimbursed for any expenses related to securing insurance for the franchisee. The franchisee's indemnification obligations described in the Agreement are not reduced or absolved by either the franchisee's or Hydrodog's maintenance of insurance.
