What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, as a mobile business, Hydrodog franchisees are expected to operate from a home office and are responsible for securing sufficient parking for their Hydrodog vehicles. However, the franchisor will not review or approve the franchisee's parking accommodations. This means the franchisee has the autonomy to choose their parking arrangements, but they bear the full responsibility of ensuring it is adequate for their needs.
This requirement has practical implications for prospective franchisees. They need to consider the space required for the Hydrodog vehicle(s) and any associated equipment. They should also factor in local regulations regarding commercial vehicle parking in residential areas, as non-compliance could lead to fines or other legal issues. The franchisee must also consider the safety and security of the vehicle when choosing a parking location.
While Hydrodog does not review or approve the parking accommodations, franchisees should still consider consulting with the franchisor for guidance on best practices. This could help avoid potential issues related to vehicle maintenance, accessibility, and overall operational efficiency. It is also important to factor in the cost of parking when developing a business plan, as this can vary significantly depending on location and availability.
