What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are strictly prohibited from offering for sale any items or ordering inventory from suppliers or vendors that have not been expressly authorized by Hydrodog. Franchisees must purchase materials and inventory exclusively from Hydrodog's Approved Suppliers. Hydrodog reserves the sole right to decide if any supplier, vendor, or item is authorized and can disapprove or refuse to approve any supplier, vendor, or item.
To request approval for a new supplier, franchisees must notify Hydrodog in writing and submit all required specifications, photographs, samples, and other information. Hydrodog will then determine, within a reasonable time not exceeding thirty calendar days, whether the proposed supplier meets their criteria for approval. Hydrodog may prescribe procedures for submitting requests for approval and the obligations that approved suppliers must assume.
Failure to comply with these supplier restrictions constitutes grounds for default and/or termination of the Franchise Agreement. This policy ensures quality control and uniformity across all Hydrodog locations, but it also limits the franchisee's autonomy in sourcing products and potentially securing better deals. Franchisees should be aware of these restrictions and the potential consequences of non-compliance.
