Whenever this Agreement requires our advance approval, agreement or consent, you agree to make a timely written request for it.

Our approval or consent will not be valid unless it is in writing.

Except where expressly stated otherwise in this Agreement, we have the absolute right, in our sole discretion, to refuse any request by you or to withhold our approval of any action or omission by you.

If we provide to you any waiver, approval, consent, or suggestion, or if we neglect or delay our response or deny any request for any of those, we will not be deemed to have made any warranties or guarantees which you may rely on, and will not assume any liability or obligation to you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, any approval or consent given by Hydrodog must be in writing to be considered valid. This requirement is in place whenever the franchise agreement necessitates Hydrodog's advance approval, agreement, or consent. The franchisee must make a timely written request to obtain such approval.

This stipulation protects both Hydrodog and its franchisees by ensuring a clear record of what was approved. It prevents misunderstandings or disputes that could arise from verbal agreements. It also allows Hydrodog to maintain consistent standards across all franchise locations, as all approvals are documented and can be referenced in the future.

However, Hydrodog retains the absolute right, within its sole discretion, to refuse any request or withhold approval for any action or omission by the franchisee, unless expressly stated otherwise in the agreement. Furthermore, any waiver, approval, consent, or suggestion provided by Hydrodog, or any delay or neglect in responding to a request, does not constitute any warranties or guarantees, nor does it imply any liability or obligation on Hydrodog's part.
