Hydrodog Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
- (h) you agree that our trailer shape and design embodies our Marks and is integral to our Goodwill, and you will completely de-identify the shape, size and color of the HydroDog Vehicle, to our sole satisfaction and at your own expense, which may, at our option, require you to remove its outer shell, or build a different shaped shell around the shell.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog has the sole discretion in determining the method for de-identifying a HydroDog Vehicle. After the franchise agreement expires or is terminated, the franchisee must completely remove all Hydrodog branding from the vehicle to Hydrodog's satisfaction.
Hydrodog can require the franchisee to remove the vehicle's outer shell or construct a differently shaped shell around it. The franchisee bears the expense of de-identifying the HydroDog Vehicle.
This requirement protects Hydrodog's brand and goodwill by ensuring that former franchisees do not continue to operate using the Hydrodog image after their franchise agreement ends. It is fairly standard practice in franchising to require de-identification of assets after a franchise terminates, to protect the brand's image and prevent consumer confusion.
