What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog may grant a franchisee an exemption from the requirement of membership in a Cooperative. This exemption is granted at Hydrodog's sole discretion, for any length of time, and upon the franchisee's written request stating reasons supporting the exemption.
Importantly, Hydrodog's decision regarding a franchisee's request for exemption from Cooperative membership is final. This means that if Hydrodog denies the request, the franchisee must participate in the Cooperative.
This clause gives Hydrodog significant control over Cooperative membership, but also provides an avenue for franchisees to seek exemption if they believe participation would not be beneficial for their specific circumstances. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of mandatory Cooperative membership and the potential need to request an exemption.
