What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, offering or selling any product that has not been designated or previously approved by Hydrodog constitutes an unauthorized product. Franchisees are explicitly required to offer and sell only the Products and Services that Hydrodog has designated or approved for sale at their HydroDog Business. These designated or approved items must be obtained from suppliers that Hydrodog has also designated or approved, which may include Hydrodog itself or its affiliates.
This requirement ensures that Hydrodog maintains consistency and quality control across all its franchise locations. By limiting the products and services offered to those approved by Hydrodog, the company can ensure that all franchisees adhere to the established System Standards. This also allows Hydrodog to manage its brand reputation and customer experience effectively.
A Hydrodog franchisee must not sell, dispense, give away, or otherwise offer or provide Products and Services except through retail sales from the HydroDog Vehicle. Additionally, franchisees must maintain an inventory of approved Products and Services sufficient to meet the daily demands of their HydroDog Business, as specified in the System Standards. Failure to comply with these requirements can result in a breach of the franchise agreement.
Specifically, offering or selling any unauthorized product and failing to provide satisfactory evidence that the unauthorized product is no longer being offered for sale within twenty-four (24) hours of written notice, or offering or selling any unauthorized products on more than two (2) occasions during any twelve (12) consecutive month period, regardless of whether the breach was previously cured, are grounds for action by Hydrodog.
