Answer from 2025 FDD Document

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee's failure to meet the required customer retention rate results can lead to specific consequences. Hydrodog may require the franchisee to attend a remedial training program. Alternatively, Hydrodog may allow other franchisees to operate within the original franchisee's territory. In more severe cases, Hydrodog has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement altogether if the customer retention rate is not met.

These stipulations highlight the importance Hydrodog places on customer retention. For a prospective franchisee, this means that maintaining a satisfactory customer retention rate is not just a performance metric but a condition for maintaining their franchise. The potential for mandatory training, increased competition within their territory, or even termination of the agreement underscores the need for franchisees to focus on building and maintaining strong customer relationships.

It is important for potential Hydrodog franchisees to fully understand the specific customer retention rate requirements and how they are measured. They should also inquire about the details of the remedial training program, the criteria for allowing other franchisees into their territory, and the specific conditions under which the Franchise Agreement could be terminated. Understanding these factors will be crucial for franchisees to effectively manage their business and avoid potential penalties.
