System Standards
To protect our reputation and goodwill and to maintain high standards of operation under the System, you must operate the HydroDog Business in strict conformance with our System standards, including the methods, standards, and specifications we prescribe from time to time in the Manual or otherwise in writing. The System standards may relate to any aspect of the appearance, function, cleanliness, and operation of the HydroDog Business.
Suppliers
You must purchase the products, supplies, equipment, and services that you use or sell in the HydroDog Business in accordance with our specifications and quality standards and, if applicable, only from suppliers we have designated or approved (which may include us or our affiliates). You will at all times maintain a complete inventory of approved items and supplies necessary for operating your HydroDog Business and providing services to customers.
What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must operate their business in strict accordance with the System Standards, which are detailed in the operations manual and other written communications. These standards cover all aspects of the business, including appearance, function, cleanliness, and overall operation. Franchisees are obligated to purchase products, supplies, equipment, and services that meet Hydrodog's specifications and quality standards, and often must buy these items only from approved suppliers. Maintaining a complete inventory of approved items is also a requirement.
Failure to comply with these System Standards can lead to significant consequences. Specifically, offering or selling products or inventory that have not been approved by Hydrodog is grounds for termination of the Franchise Agreement. This means that if a franchisee deviates from the approved list of products or suppliers without prior authorization, Hydrodog has the right to terminate the franchise agreement, effectively ending the franchisee's right to operate under the Hydrodog brand.
Prospective Hydrodog franchisees should carefully review Item 8 and Item 9 of the Franchise Disclosure Document, as well as the operations manual, to fully understand the scope of the System Standards and their obligations. It is crucial to maintain open communication with Hydrodog regarding any questions or uncertainties about approved products, suppliers, or operational procedures to avoid potential violations and the risk of termination.
