What are the conditions that must be met before I can open my HydroDog business?

an 9-months after receipt of the previous HydroDog Vehicle.
You may not open your HydroDog Business for business until: (1) we approve your HydroDog Business as developed according to our specifications and standards; (2) training has been completed to our satisfaction; (3) the Franchise Fee has been paid to us, subject to state law; (4) the HydroDog Vehicle has been acquired; (5) the Initial Tools Package has been received; (6) we have approved the managers of your HydroDog Business if you are a Business Entity, and you have demonstrated to our satisfaction that the pre-opening conditions of the Franchise Agreement have been met; (7) we have been furnished with copies of all required insurance policies, or such other evidence of insurance coverage and payment of premiums we request; (8) we have received signed counterparts of all required documents pertaining to your acquisition of the HydroDog Vehicle. (Franchise Agreement, Section 5.8) You obtain our approval for and open your HydroDog Business within 30 days after receipt of your HydroDog Vehicle, unless there are unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond your control, in which case an extension may be granted at our discretion. (Franchise Agreement, Section 5.1) We may terminate the Franchise Agreement if you fail to open in the time required, unless an extension has been granted. (Franchise Agreement, Section 16.2)
Post-Opening Obligations: During your operation of your HydroDog Business, we will:
- Advise you from time to time regarding the operation of your HydroDog Business based on reports you submit or inspections we make.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to HydroDog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, there are several conditions you must meet before opening your HydroDog business. HydroDog must approve your business as developed according to their specifications and standards. You, or your managers if you are a business entity, must complete training to HydroDog's satisfaction. You must also pay the Franchise Fee.
Before opening, you must acquire the HydroDog Vehicle and receive the Initial Tools Package from HydroDog or their approved suppliers. You must furnish HydroDog with copies of all required insurance policies or evidence of coverage and premium payments. HydroDog must receive signed copies of all required documents pertaining to your acquisition of the HydroDog Vehicle.
Finally, you must obtain HydroDog's approval and open your business within 30 days after receiving your HydroDog Vehicle, unless unforeseen circumstances warrant an extension at HydroDog's discretion. Failure to open within the required time, without an approved extension, may result in the termination of the Franchise Agreement. You must also pay a non-refundable grand opening marketing fee of $5,000 per HydroDog Vehicle.
