What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Telephone Company has certain obligations under the Assignment of Telephone Numbers and Listings agreement. Specifically, the Telephone Company may accept Hydrodog's written direction, the Franchise Agreement, or the Assignment itself as conclusive proof of Hydrodog's exclusive rights to the phone numbers and listings upon termination or expiration of the franchise agreement.

Furthermore, the assignment of the phone numbers and listings becomes immediately and automatically effective once the Telephone Company receives notice from either the franchisee or Hydrodog. If the Telephone Company requires signatures on its assignment forms or other documentation at the time of termination or expiration, Hydrodog's signature on behalf of the franchisee will serve as the franchisee's consent and agreement to the assignment.

In practical terms, this means that Hydrodog retains control over the phone numbers and listings associated with the Hydrodog business, even after a franchise agreement terminates. This is intended to protect Hydrodog's brand and goodwill. The franchisee is obligated to assist in this transfer, and Hydrodog has the power to act on the franchisee's behalf to ensure the transfer occurs. The Telephone Company is expected to recognize Hydrodog's rights and facilitate the assignment based on the provided documentation.
