Can Hydrodog add or remove National Accounts periodically?

Hydrodog Franchise · 2025 FDD

Answer from 2025 FDD Document

Periodically we may enter into agreements with certain regional or national businesses (each a "National Account") to provide services to clients at designated National Account locations. We will identify and designate any National Account in our Manual, and periodically we may add or remove National Accounts. We have the sole business judgment on who may provide services or products to any National Account, including at a single location of any such National Account. We may, in our sole business judgment, offer you the opportunity to accept and provide services or products under the terms of any such National Account agreement (including, without limitation, any central invoicing or fixed fee terms). In the case of a National Account agreement under which the client will pay a fixed amount for services or products at all locations listed in such agreement, we will allocate reasonably such fixed amount among the HydroDog businesses providing the services or products.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Hydrodog has the ability to add or remove National Accounts periodically. Hydrodog may enter into agreements with regional or national businesses, referred to as "National Accounts," to provide services to clients at specific locations. Hydrodog will identify these National Accounts in their manual and can add or remove them as they see fit.

Hydrodog retains sole discretion over who provides services or products to National Accounts, even at individual locations. They may offer franchisees the opportunity to participate in these National Account agreements, which could include central invoicing or fixed fee terms. If a National Account agreement involves a fixed payment for services at all locations, Hydrodog will allocate this amount reasonably among the Hydrodog businesses providing the services.

This arrangement means that while franchisees may get the chance to serve National Accounts, Hydrodog ultimately decides who gets those opportunities and how the revenue is distributed. A potential franchisee should consider how reliant they want to be on Hydrodog's decisions regarding National Accounts and how that might affect their business's revenue and growth.
