Answer from 2025 FDD Document

For the purposes of this Agreement, you will be considered to have irrevocably chosen not to renew the franchise (and the option to do so will consequently terminate) if you fail to sign and return to us our current standard franchise agreement and other supplementary documents required by us for a renewal franchise within thirty (30) days after we have delivered them to you.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is considered to have irrevocably chosen not to renew their franchise if they fail to sign and return the current standard franchise agreement and any other required supplementary documents within thirty (30) days of receiving them from Hydrodog. This failure also terminates the option to renew the franchise.

This condition means that a Hydrodog franchisee must act promptly and decisively when presented with the renewal documents. The thirty-day window is a relatively short timeframe, so franchisees need to be prepared to review the documents carefully and seek legal or business advice if needed. Failing to meet this deadline results in the loss of the renewal option, regardless of other factors.

It is important to note that the new franchise agreement for renewal may contain materially different terms than the original agreement, including higher fees, different territory rights, and modified operational requirements. Therefore, franchisees should carefully compare the new agreement with their existing one to fully understand the changes and their implications before making a decision about renewal. The non-refundable renewal fee of $20,000 is due upon submission of the renewal notice, further emphasizing the need for careful consideration.
