From whom must I acquire HydroDog Vehicles?

We do not require that you purchase all HydroDog Vehicles at the time of signing your franchise agreement if you own multiple Territories; however, you must acquire each vehicle through us or our approved suppliers no later than 9-months after receipt of the previous HydroDog Vehicle.
You may not open your HydroDog Business for business until: (1) we approve your HydroDog Business as developed according to our specifications and standards; (2) training has been completed to our satisfaction; (3) the Franchise Fee has been paid to us, subject to state law; (4) the HydroDog Vehicle has been acquired; (5) the Initial Tools Package has been received; (6) we have approved the managers of your HydroDog Business if you are a Business Entity, and you have demonstrated to our satisfaction that the pre-opening conditions of the Franchise Agreement have been met; (7) we have been furnished with copies of all required insurance policies, or such other evidence of insurance coverage and payment of premiums we request; (8) we have received signed counterparts of all required documents pertaining to your acquisition of the HydroDog Vehicle. (Franchise Agreement, Section 5.8) You obtain our approval for and open your HydroDog Business within 30 days after receipt of your HydroDog Vehicle, unless there are unforeseen circumstances or factors beyond your control, in which case an extension may be granted at our discretion. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must acquire HydroDog Vehicles either directly through Hydrodog or from Hydrodog's approved suppliers. While franchisees are not required to purchase all HydroDog Vehicles at the time of signing the franchise agreement if they own multiple territories, they must acquire each vehicle no later than 9 months after receiving the previous HydroDog Vehicle.
This requirement ensures that all Hydrodog franchisees use vehicles that meet the franchisor's standards and specifications, maintaining brand consistency and quality across all locations. It also allows Hydrodog to control the supply chain and potentially negotiate better deals with suppliers, which could benefit franchisees in terms of cost and quality.
Furthermore, a HydroDog business cannot open until the HydroDog Vehicle has been acquired. Franchisees must also obtain Hydrodog's approval for opening their HydroDog Business within 30 days after receiving their HydroDog Vehicle. Failure to open within the required time frame, unless an extension is granted due to unforeseen circumstances, may result in termination of the Franchise Agreement.
