What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Hydrodog's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the confidentiality agreement specifies who is considered 'you' or 'your' within the context of the agreement. Specifically, it refers to the franchisee and extends to their owners, managers, employees, and independent contractors who have access to confidential information. This means that the obligations and restrictions outlined in the confidentiality agreement apply not only to the franchisee directly but also to those working for or associated with the franchisee's Hydrodog business.

The agreement emphasizes that these individuals must agree to protect the confidential information and not use it for any unauthorized purposes. This includes not using the information in any other business or capacity and maintaining its confidentiality both during and after the term of the franchise agreement. Furthermore, they are prohibited from making unauthorized copies of confidential information and must comply with procedures prescribed by Hydrodog to prevent unauthorized use or disclosure.

This comprehensive approach ensures that Hydrodog's confidential information is safeguarded at all levels within the franchisee's operation. By including owners, managers, employees, and independent contractors, the agreement aims to minimize the risk of information leakage and maintain the competitive advantage of the Hydrodog system. Prospective franchisees should carefully review these terms and ensure that all relevant parties within their organization understand and agree to abide by the confidentiality obligations.
