What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Healthsource Chiropractic Franchise Disclosure Document, after the termination or expiration of the franchise agreement, a franchisee must take any action that may be required to cancel all fictitious or assumed name or equivalent registrations relating to the use of any Healthsource Chiropractic mark. This means the franchisee is responsible for ensuring that any business names or assumed names registered with state or local authorities that include the Healthsource Chiropractic brand are officially cancelled. This prevents the continued use of the Healthsource Chiropractic name by the former franchisee after the agreement ends.

To ensure compliance, Healthsource Chiropractic retains the right to act as the franchisee's attorney-in-fact. If the franchisee fails to take the necessary actions within 10 days after the termination of the agreement, Healthsource Chiropractic can step in and handle the cancellations themselves. This protects Healthsource Chiropractic's brand identity and prevents potential confusion or misuse of their trademarks.

This requirement is a standard practice in franchising. It ensures a clean break between the franchisor and franchisee, safeguarding the franchisor's brand and preventing any unauthorized representation of the brand by former franchisees. Prospective Healthsource Chiropractic franchisees should understand this obligation and be prepared to promptly address these administrative tasks upon termination or expiration of their franchise agreement.
