What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is exclusively responsible for all employment-related decisions and practices within their franchise. This includes the hiring, retention, and firing of employees and independent contractors. The franchisee is also responsible for determining the terms of employment and compensation for these individuals, as well as ensuring they receive proper training in the operation of the Healthsource Chiropractic franchise.
This means that the franchisee has complete control over staffing decisions and must manage all aspects of employment, including compliance with labor laws and regulations. Healthsource Chiropractic is not considered the employer of the franchisee's staff, and the franchisee must clearly communicate this to their employees in all dealings, including written and electronic correspondence, paychecks, and other materials.
This level of responsibility gives the Healthsource Chiropractic franchisee significant autonomy in managing their staff. However, it also places the onus on the franchisee to handle all employment-related issues, such as training, performance management, and legal compliance. Prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this responsibility and ensure they have the necessary skills and resources to effectively manage their staff.
