What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is exclusively responsible for the terms of employment and compensation for their employees and independent contractors. This includes decisions related to hiring, firing, training, and all other employment practices. The franchisee is also responsible for clearly communicating to employees that the franchisee, and only the franchisee, is their employer, and that Healthsource Chiropractic is not.
This means that as a Healthsource Chiropractic franchisee, you have full control over setting wages, benefits, and other employment terms for your staff. You also bear the responsibility for ensuring proper training and adherence to legal and ethical employment practices. This level of autonomy allows you to tailor your employment strategies to the specific needs and market conditions of your location.
However, this also means you assume all risks and liabilities associated with employment, including potential legal issues related to wage disputes, discrimination claims, or wrongful termination. It is important to consult with legal and HR professionals to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. While Healthsource Chiropractic mandates certain standards for employee appearance and requires specific agreements regarding confidential information, the day-to-day management of personnel falls squarely on the franchisee.
This arrangement is typical in many franchise systems, where the franchisee operates as an independent business owner. While Healthsource Chiropractic provides the brand name, system, and support, the franchisee is responsible for managing their own workforce and ensuring the success of their individual location. This division of responsibilities allows Healthsource Chiropractic to maintain consistency across the brand while empowering franchisees to manage their businesses effectively.
