Who is responsible for paying wages or compensation to personnel who attend the Healthsource Chiropractic training program?
Healthsource_Chiropractic Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
The initial training program includes virtual, self-directed and in-person instruction on Clinic operations. We plan to be flexible in scheduling training. The initial training program will be offered 4 to 6 times a year. There will be no tuition charge for these training programs for the persons we require to attend (see Item 6). You must pay any wages or compensation owed to all of your personnel who attend the training program.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are responsible for paying the wages or compensation for their personnel who attend the initial training program. The franchisor does not charge tuition for the required training programs. This means that while the franchisee benefits from the training provided to their employees, they must also bear the cost of their employees' time spent in training.
In addition to wages, the franchisee is also responsible for covering travel, lodging, meal, and personal expenses related to the attendance of themselves and their personnel at any additional, on-going, and supplemental training programs. This includes the mandatory annual conference. These costs can add up quickly, especially if the franchisee is sending multiple employees to various training sessions throughout the year.
This arrangement is fairly typical in the franchise industry, where franchisees generally cover their employees' wages and expenses. However, prospective Healthsource Chiropractic franchisees should carefully budget for these training-related costs, as they can impact the overall profitability of the franchise. It is important to factor in not only the direct costs of wages and travel but also the indirect costs of lost productivity while employees are away from the clinic attending training.
