Are Healthsource Chiropractic franchisees and owners allowed to make negative statements about Healthsource Chiropractic to third parties?

According to the 2025 Healthsource Chiropractic Franchise Disclosure Document, Licensed Providers (which includes franchisees) are restricted from making negative or critical statements about Healthsource Chiropractic. Specifically, during the term of the agreement and thereafter, a Licensed Provider cannot directly or indirectly make any negative or critical statements to third parties.

This restriction applies to statements made verbally or in any other form or media. The statements cannot be about Management Company, the Clinic Management Business, HealthSource or any of its franchisees, or any of their respective products, services, businesses or business practices. The restriction also extends to statements about the actions, operations, or character of any of Management Company's or HealthSource's respective owners, officers, directors, employees, consultants, or agents.

This non-disparagement clause is a fairly standard practice in franchising to protect the brand's reputation. However, prospective Healthsource Chiropractic franchisees should carefully consider the implications of this clause, especially regarding their ability to voice concerns or criticisms about the franchise system, even after the agreement terminates.
