What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are restricted from making significant changes to their clinic's premises or appearance without prior written consent from Healthsource Chiropractic. Should a franchisee proceed with unapproved alterations, Healthsource Chiropractic retains the right, at its discretion and at the franchisee's expense, to rectify those changes. This ensures uniformity and adherence to the brand's standards across all franchise locations.
Beyond maintaining the physical appearance, Healthsource Chiropractic franchisees must also keep the premises in good condition. This includes regular cleaning, repainting, and redecorating both the interior and exterior of the clinic at reasonable intervals. Franchisees are also responsible for interior and exterior repairs, as well as the repair or replacement of any damaged, worn-out, or obsolete equipment, furniture, furnishings, and signs. These maintenance obligations are crucial for upholding the image of a high-quality, efficiently operated Healthsource Chiropractic clinic.
Healthsource Chiropractic also has the right to mandate remodeling, expansion, redecorating, or refurnishing of the premises to reflect changes in the overall Healthsource Chiropractic operations. However, these changes are subject to certain conditions. Material changes will only be required if there are at least two years remaining on the current term of the franchise agreement. Furthermore, Healthsource Chiropractic must have already implemented the proposed change in at least 25% of all similarly situated Healthsource Chiropractic and affiliate-owned clinics and have a plan to implement the change in the remaining clinics. This ensures that franchisees are not unduly burdened with frequent or unsupported renovation requirements.
