What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Healthsource Chiropractic Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee is required to clearly communicate to all employees that the franchisee, and only the franchisee, is their employer. The communication must explicitly state that Healthsource Chiropractic is not their employer. This notification must be included in all dealings with employees, including written and electronic correspondence, paychecks, and other relevant materials.
This requirement ensures that there is no confusion regarding the employment relationship. It clarifies that the franchisee is responsible for all aspects of employment, including compensation, training, hiring, and firing decisions. This is a standard practice in franchising, where the franchisee operates as an independent business owner.
By clearly establishing the franchisee as the employer, Healthsource Chiropractic aims to avoid potential legal or financial liabilities related to the franchisee's employees. This also reinforces the franchisee's role as an independent operator responsible for managing their own staff and business operations. Franchisees should ensure that all employment-related documents and communications reflect this relationship to maintain compliance with the franchise agreement.
