Answer from 2025 FDD Document

You may develop, at your cost, advertising and promotional materials for your own use, but may not use them until after we have approved them in writing. You must submit to us for our approval samples of all advertising and promotional materials not prepared or previously approved by us that you wish to use. We will not unreasonably withhold our approval. If we do not disapprove any materials submitted to us within 15 days of receiving them, they will be deemed approved. Our actual or deemed approval will not mean that we have analyzed or approved any such materials with respect to any state, local or administrative law, rule or regulation that may be applicable to a franchise's practice of chiropractic in its State of licensure.

What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor's approval of a franchisee's advertising and promotional materials does not indicate that Healthsource Chiropractic has analyzed or approved the materials for compliance with state, local, or administrative laws related to the practice of chiropractic in the franchisee's state of licensure. This means that while Healthsource Chiropractic reviews advertising for brand consistency and adherence to their standards, the responsibility for ensuring legal compliance rests solely with the franchisee.

This disclaimer is important for prospective franchisees because it highlights the need to consult with legal counsel to ensure that all advertising and promotional materials comply with the specific regulations governing chiropractic practices in their state. Failure to do so could result in legal penalties or other adverse consequences for the franchisee.

Healthsource Chiropractic does retain the right to review and approve or disapprove advertising, marketing, and promotional materials. If Healthsource Chiropractic does not disapprove of submitted materials within 15 days of receiving them, the materials are considered approved. However, this approval does not transfer the legal burden of compliance from the franchisee to the franchisor.
