What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Healthsource Chiropractic's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the terms 'we,' 'us,' or 'HealthSource Chiropractic' within the franchise agreement refer to the franchisor, Healthsource Chiropractic itself. The document clarifies this informal style of agreement is intended to ensure the franchisee fully understands their rights and obligations before signing. The term 'you' refers to the franchisee, also called 'Franchise Owner' or 'Franchisee.'

This definition is crucial for interpreting the Franchise Agreement accurately. Whenever a franchisee encounters 'we,' 'us,' or 'HealthSource Chiropractic' in the document, it indicates an obligation, right, or action pertaining to the franchisor. This distinction is important for understanding the responsibilities and powers of each party involved in the franchise relationship.

For example, the FDD states that Healthsource Chiropractic may make changes to the System. Knowing that 'we' refers to Healthsource Chiropractic, the franchisee understands that the franchisor has the authority to modify the operational system. Similarly, the franchisee is required to use the Marks as the sole trade identification of the Franchise, except that the franchisee will display at the Franchise location a notice, in a form acceptable to Healthsource Chiropractic, stating that the franchisee is the independent owner of the Franchise pursuant to a Franchise Agreement with Healthsource Chiropractic. This clarifies that the franchisee must adhere to Healthsource Chiropractic's guidelines regarding branding and identification.
