What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Hck Hot Chicken Franchise Disclosure Document, the purpose of the questionnaire is to ensure that prospective franchisees were not subjected to unauthorized or untrue statements. By signing the questionnaire, the franchisee confirms they have been properly represented during the franchise transaction and that they understand the limitations on claims related to the purchase and operation of their Hck Hot Chicken franchise.
It is important to note that the questionnaire cannot be signed on the same day the Receipt for the Franchise Disclosure Document is signed. Instead, it must be signed on the same day as the Franchise Agreement and Area Development Agreement, if applicable. This timing ensures that the franchisee has had ample time to review the FDD and other relevant documents before making these important representations.
However, prospective franchisees residing in or seeking to operate in regulated states are not required to complete the questionnaire or respond to its questions. This exemption likely accounts for additional regulatory oversight or specific legal protections already in place within those states. All prospective franchisees should carefully consider the implications of signing this questionnaire and seek legal counsel if they have any concerns about the representations they are making.
