What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, an area developer does not have a right to renew their Area Development Agreement. However, Hck Hot Chicken may offer the opportunity to develop additional restaurants if further development of the area is desirable. To be considered, the area developer must be in good standing and not in default under the Area Development Agreement.
To extend the term, Hck Hot Chicken may choose to amend the current Area Development Agreement or require the developer to sign a new agreement with potentially different terms. The area developer and their affiliates must not be in default on any existing Franchise Agreement or Area Development Agreement with Hck Hot Chicken.
Furthermore, the area developer must demonstrate the financial ability to perform additional development and have fulfilled their current development obligations. They must also meet the then-current area developer qualifications and sign a general release to be considered for additional development opportunities with Hck Hot Chicken.
