What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase specific maintenance contracts for their computer systems. These contracts must be obtained from Hck Hot Chicken's approved suppliers. The mandatory contracts include help desk support and hardware maintenance, which cost between $250 to $500 per month, beginning after the first year of operation. This monthly fee covers help desk support, software, and seven-day technician and parts coverage.
In addition to the monthly maintenance contracts, Hck Hot Chicken franchisees must also pay ongoing annual fees to a designated supplier for hosted solutions if they do not use real-time sales access software. The FDD also states that there are no limitations in the Franchise Agreement regarding the costs of required support, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades relating to the Computer System. Furthermore, Hck Hot Chicken may revise the specifications for the Computer System periodically, and franchisees are obligated to upgrade or replace their Computer System as specifications are revised. The estimated cost for upgrading or replacing the Computer System is between $1,000 to $2,000 per year, but this cost can vary depending on the repair history, local costs of computer maintenance services, and technological advances.
