What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the 'Location' of a Non-Traditional Restaurant operating within a Host Facility is strictly limited to the physical area occupied by the restaurant inside that Host Facility. The agreement specifies that the 'Location' cannot be defined as a geographic area or described in any terms other than the specific location within the Host Facility. This means the franchisee's rights are confined to the approved space and do not extend to any broader territory.
This definition has important implications for a prospective Hck Hot Chicken franchisee. The franchisee is restricted from relocating the restaurant within the Host Facility during the term of the agreement. The franchisee must obtain written consent from the owner, franchisor, or licensor of the Host Facility to operate the Non-Traditional Restaurant, and this consent is a prerequisite for establishing and operating the franchise.
This limited definition of 'Location' is common for franchises operating within non-traditional venues like airports, food courts, or stadiums. It is important for the franchisee to understand that the success of the Hck Hot Chicken Non-Traditional Restaurant depends on their abilities as an independent businessperson, and the franchisor's approval of the location does not guarantee success.
