What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, all communications posted on the Intranet become the property of Hck Hot Chicken. As the Intranet administrator, Hck Hot Chicken can technically access and view any communication posted by any person. Franchisees have no claims of privacy or privilege regarding their posts.
This means that Hck Hot Chicken franchisees should be aware that any information they share on the Intranet is accessible to the franchisor and can be used at their discretion. Franchisees should avoid posting any sensitive or confidential information that they do not want Hck Hot Chicken to have access to. This includes business strategies, financial data, or personal information.
This policy is not uncommon in franchising, as franchisors often use Intranets to monitor franchisee compliance and ensure brand consistency. However, it is important for franchisees to understand the implications of this policy and to exercise caution when posting on the Intranet. Franchisees should also familiarize themselves with Hck Hot Chicken's standards, specifications, protocols, and restrictions for Intranet use, which may relate to offensive language, discussions about franchisee defaults, and security precautions.
