According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the length of the franchise term for an Area Development Agreement varies based on the number of restaurants the franchisor grants the franchisee the right to open. Typically, the term is five years or until the franchisee signs a Franchise Agreement for the last Restaurant necessary to satisfy the Development Obligation, whichever is earlier.
An Hck Hot Chicken franchisee does not have the right to renew their Area Development Agreement. However, if Hck Hot Chicken determines that further development of the Development Area is desirable, and if the franchisee is in good standing and not in default under the Area Development Agreement, Hck Hot Chicken will offer the franchisee the opportunity to develop additional Restaurants. Unless Hck Hot Chicken consents, the franchisee may not open more than the total number of Restaurants comprising the Development Obligation.
