John Paul Covin, Lead Trainer. John Paul Covin has served as our Lead Trainer since February 2024. From February 2024, John Paul Covin has also served as the General Manager for Woodbridge HCK in Woodbridge, VA. From 2018 to 2023, John Paul Covin served as the Manager for Giannis Pizzeria in Ocean, NJ.

According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program is conducted by Michael Sarago, Frederic Gilmore, and John Paul Covin. John Paul Covin has served as their Lead Trainer since February 2024, and also serves as the General Manager for Woodbridge HCK in Woodbridge, VA.

Prospective franchisees should note that Hck Hot Chicken reserves the right to modify the length and content of the Initial Training Program based on the attendee's experience and skill level. The training may also be offered via online sessions. The Brand Standards Manual serves as the primary instruction material.

Hck Hot Chicken may also require franchisees, their managers, and other employees to attend system-wide refresher or additional training courses periodically. These courses may be optional or required, and additional training or assistance currently costs between $500 and $1,000 per attendee, per week. Franchisees are also responsible for the costs associated with travel and expenses for attendees. If a new manager is appointed, they must attend and successfully complete the initial training program before assuming their responsibilities.
