What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Brand Fund can be used for public relations events. Specifically, the Brand Fund can be used for national, regional, or local advertising, public relations, or promotional campaigns or programs. These campaigns are designed to promote and enhance the image, identity, or patronage of franchised and franchisor-owned restaurants, including those owned by affiliates.
This means that a portion of the Brand Fund, which is contributed to by franchisees, may be allocated to public relations events aimed at improving the brand's public image. This could include events such as grand openings, community sponsorships, or media relations activities. The franchisor has discretion over how the Brand Fund is spent, but it must be used to benefit the Hck Hot Chicken brand as a whole.
In addition to public relations events, the Brand Fund can be used for a wide range of other marketing and advertising activities, including traditional advertising, digital marketing, market research, and the development of promotional materials. This comprehensive approach to marketing and advertising is intended to drive sales and build brand awareness for all Hck Hot Chicken locations. Franchisees also have a local advertising requirement to spend 1% of gross sales on local advertising each year.
