What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hck Hot Chicken's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisee is responsible for the costs associated with implementing changes to the brand's marks and trade dress. Hck Hot Chicken retains the right to modify its marks and trade dress, and the franchisee must adapt to these changes at their own expense. These modifications are communicated through the HCK Hot Chicken Brand Standards Manual or written directives.
The franchisee is obligated to either start using or discontinue using the modified marks and trade dress as instructed by Hck Hot Chicken. This includes any changes to trade names, trademarks, service marks, logotypes, and commercial symbols. The franchisee must adhere strictly to the procedures, policies, rules, and regulations outlined in the HCK Hot Chicken Brand Standards Manual or written directives.
The franchisee is generally required to implement these changes within 60 days of receiving notice from Hck Hot Chicken, unless otherwise directed by the franchisor. This quick turnaround ensures brand consistency across all franchise locations. The financial burden of these changes, including any associated expenses, falls solely on the franchisee.
