What This Means (2025 FDD)

The 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document for Hck Hot Chicken states that if a Non-Traditional Restaurant shares common areas with another business on the Premises, the franchisee must maintain those areas according to the Brand Standards Manual. These common areas specifically include customer seating, storage, and freezer space. This requirement is outlined in a new section added to the Franchise Agreement concerning common areas in Non-Traditional Restaurant settings.

For a prospective Hck Hot Chicken franchisee, this means that if their restaurant location shares any of these common areas, they will be responsible for keeping them up to the standards detailed in the Brand Standards Manual. This could involve regular cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring the space is organized and presentable for customers. The franchisee needs to understand the implications of sharing these spaces and the responsibilities that come with it.

This requirement is particularly relevant for Non-Traditional Restaurant locations, which, according to the FDD, may differ significantly from traditional Hck Hot Chicken restaurants in terms of size, layout, and operational standards. Franchisees should carefully review the Brand Standards Manual to understand the specific requirements for maintaining these common areas and factor in the potential costs and labor associated with these responsibilities. It is important to clarify with Hck Hot Chicken what specific standards apply to shared spaces to ensure compliance and avoid any potential issues.
