Under what trade name and system must a Hawaiian Bros Island Grill franchisee operate?

According to the 2025 Hawaiian Bros Island Grill FDD, a franchisee must operate under the Hawaiian Bros® Island Grill trade name. Unless the company provides written approval otherwise, the franchisee is required to conduct operations of the franchised restaurant under this specific trade name.

Hawaiian Bros Island Grill grants franchisees the right to operate under the Hawaiian Bros Island Grill trade name, in association with the Hawaiian Bros Island Grill service mark, and in accordance with the System. This system includes proprietary rights in trade names, service marks, trademarks, operating procedures, marketing concepts, management techniques, and communication methods.

The franchisee is also authorized to install the Trade Dress and exterior and interior signs bearing the Hawaiian Bros Island Grill name and logo at the Franchised Restaurant. They are authorized to sell approved food and memorabilia and to use the Marks to identify, advertise, and promote the restaurant's products and services. Franchisees must adhere to the standards, policies, and procedures set forth in the Operations Manual, as revised and supplemented, and follow company procedures for storage, preparation, presentation, and dispensing of authorized menu items.
