What is a 'Travel Center Location' as it pertains to a Hardees franchise?

According to Hardees's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a Travel Center Location is defined as a facility located off an interstate or limited highway exit. These locations are designed to cater to the trucking industry, offering services such as fuel, showers, restrooms, convenience items, food, and truck parking and services. Hardees offers franchises for operation in Travel Center Locations, as well as Gas and Convenience Locations.

Hardees also offers a Travel Center Development Incentive Program for franchisees who develop restaurants at Travel Center Locations. To be eligible for the 2025 HR Travel Center Development Incentive Program, the Travel Center Location must be located within ½ mile of an interstate or limited access highway and must include a combination of high rise pylon sign, billboard or other highway sign. The franchisee must open the Franchise Restaurants from a Travel Center Location or Gas and Convenience Location by the dates outlined in the corresponding Development Agreement.

Prospective franchisees should note that Hardees also offers franchises at traditional and nontraditional locations under separate disclosure documents with different terms and conditions.
