What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hardees's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the MIT 3.03 Resilience classroom training takes place at Star University; Designated Training Facility. This training session is relatively short, lasting only 10 minutes.
Hardees provides the Franchise Management Training Program (FMTP) to the franchisee, their Operating Principal (if not previously trained), their General Manager, and six other employees designated as Shift Leaders. This training is provided at no additional cost if it occurs within two years of signing the Franchise Agreement. However, Hardees reserves the right to modify or waive training requirements based on an individual's experience.
The FMTP includes training at a Hardees Restaurant designated by them and online training through Star University (StarU), their Learning Management System. Franchisees are responsible for all travel, living, and other expenses incurred while attending the training programs. Hardees can dismiss anyone from the FMTP who they believe will not perform acceptably, and the franchisee must provide a qualified replacement within one month.
The minimum length of the FMTP is eight consecutive weeks but can be shorter or longer depending on the trainee's prior experience. The FMTP trainers are experienced Hardees Restaurant Managers supervised by CKR's Director of Global Learning & Organizational Development.
