What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Hardees's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the MIT 1.07 Coaching Others – QSC training is held virtually, at a Certified Training Restaurant (CTR), or at a Designated Training Facility. This segment of the management training involves 15 minutes of classroom instruction. This training is part of the broader FMTP (Franchise Management Training Program) that Hardees provides to new franchisees and their staff.
The FMTP program is provided to the Operating Principal, General Manager, and up to six Shift Leaders at no additional cost, provided the training occurs within two years of signing the Franchise Agreement. Hardees reserves the right to modify or waive training requirements based on an individual's experience. Franchisees are responsible for all travel, living, and other expenses incurred while attending the training programs.
Hardees also provides access to Star University (StarU), an online Learning Management System, for a fee of $14 per fiscal period (currently a 4-week accounting period). The use of Star University requires certain high-speed internet and hardware, which are the franchisee's responsibility. StarU is a required training tool for all Hardees locations.
