We will refund 25% of the franchise fee you paid if we terminate the franchise for your failure to select a site within 180 days, or your failure to successfully complete the initial training program to our satisfaction. What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Goldfish Swim School's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may receive a partial refund of the franchise fee under specific circumstances. Goldfish Swim School will refund 25% of the $50,000 franchise fee if the franchise agreement is terminated because the franchisee fails to select a site within 180 days of the effective date, or if the franchisee fails to successfully complete the initial training program to Goldfish Swim School's satisfaction.
To receive the 25% refund in the event of a failure to select a site, the franchisee must also provide Goldfish Swim School with a general release, which releases any and all claims against Goldfish Swim School, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, managers, members, employees, and agents.
It is important to note that these are the only two circumstances under which Goldfish Swim School offers a refund of any portion of the franchise fee. The FDD explicitly states that refunds are not given under any other circumstances.
