What specifications does Goldfish Swim School provide for remodeling and equipping the approved location?

According to the 2025 Goldfish Swim School FDD, prior to opening a franchised swim school, Goldfish Swim School will provide franchisees with specifications for remodeling and equipping the approved location. This includes a list of required supplies, equipment, and improvements that the franchisee must purchase and install.

Goldfish Swim School also provides franchisees with criteria for site selection and evaluates sites proposed by the franchisee for the location of the franchised swim school. These criteria include general population and income levels, population size of children under the age of 9, and proximity to competitors. The review process for site selection takes approximately 30 days.

In addition to providing specifications and site selection criteria, Goldfish Swim School will review and accept the franchisee's lease or purchase agreement for the approved site. They also provide initial training to the Control Person, Designated Manager, and at least one other required manager. This training includes certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, and lifeguarding for shallow water pools. Other certifications, such as CPO, may be required but are not provided during the initial training period.
