What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the approval or disapproval of a proposed restaurant location is contingent upon the franchisee providing a complete site report and other requested materials. Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant has a 30-day window to make a decision once all necessary documents are received.
It is important to note that the franchisor's approval does not constitute a guarantee of the site's suitability or potential success. The document explicitly states that any recommendation or approval is not a representation or warranty regarding the location's potential. The success of the location ultimately depends on various demographic and economic factors that are beyond the franchisor's control.
If a mutually agreeable site cannot be found within one year of signing the Franchise Agreement, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant reserves the right to terminate the agreement and retain the initial franchise fee. This highlights the importance of thorough due diligence and a proactive approach to site selection on the part of the franchisee. Franchisees bear the responsibility for their own independent investigation of the location's suitability.
