What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor provides site selection criteria for restaurant locations. These criteria include demographic characteristics, traffic patterns, parking availability, the character of the neighborhood, competition from other businesses, proximity to other businesses, the nature of other businesses near the site, and the physical characteristics of the proposed site, including its size and appearance.

For a prospective franchisee, this means that Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant will evaluate potential locations based on these factors. The franchisee will need to propose a site that meets these criteria, and Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant has the right to approve or disapprove the proposed location within 30 days of receiving a complete site report and other requested materials.

It is important to note that if a mutually agreeable site cannot be found within one year of signing the Franchise Agreement, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant may terminate the agreement and retain the initial franchise fee. This highlights the importance of carefully researching and proposing suitable locations that align with Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant's criteria to avoid potential termination of the agreement and loss of the initial franchise fee.
