What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to the 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant provides assistance in implementing the grand opening advertising and promotional program for the Restaurant. This is listed as one of the pre-opening obligations that Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant will provide before the restaurant opens.
In addition to grand opening assistance, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant will also advise franchisees from time to time regarding advertising and marketing programs. They will also periodically furnish samples of advertising, marketing, and promotional formats and materials. Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant will also review and approve proposed local advertising that the franchisee intends to use.
However, Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant retains sole discretion over the creative concepts, materials, endorsements, geographic placement, market placement, and media allocation of advertising programs. Franchisees are also required to pay a weekly advertising fee equal to 1.5% of the restaurant's gross sales, which is then segregated into a special advertising fund.
