What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Golden Corral's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to use RBS WorldPay (or another processor designated by Golden Corral in the future) for processing Golden Corral Gift Card transactions. This means that if a Golden Corral franchisee accepts gift cards, they must use RBS WorldPay to handle those transactions.

This requirement ensures that Golden Corral can maintain control over its gift card program and standardize the processing of these transactions across all franchise locations. By mandating a specific processor, Golden Corral can also potentially negotiate better rates or terms for its franchisees than they might be able to obtain individually.

For a prospective franchisee, this means they will not have the freedom to choose their own payment processor for gift card transactions and must factor in any fees or costs associated with using RBS WorldPay. It is important for potential franchisees to understand the terms and conditions of using RBS WorldPay and how it will impact their overall operating costs.
