What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Golden Corral FDD, the initial franchise fee of $50,000 for GC-11M, GC-11S, and conversion restaurants is paid in installments periodically. This fee is paid directly to Golden Corral.
Other fees associated with opening a Golden Corral franchise, such as the purchase of land, construction, signage, furniture, and equipment, are paid as arranged with the seller, contractors, or third-party vendors. For example, the POS activation fee and hardware, ranging from $3,116.90 to $11,227 for GC-11M restaurants, $4,054 to $16,486 for GC-11S restaurants, and $3,116.90 to $16,486 for conversion restaurants, is paid in a lump sum before opening to the vendor. Hardware installation costs, estimated between $4,500 and $6,000, are paid as arranged with the third-party installation provider.
Prospective franchisees should note that all payments made to Golden Corral are nonrefundable, while the refundability of payments to other parties depends on the arrangements made with them. Golden Corral does not offer financing to franchisees, so securing financing from third-party lenders will depend on the franchisee's creditworthiness and available collateral.
