What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to the 2024 Gokhale Method Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee may have the right to renew their franchise agreement for additional five-year terms, but this is subject to certain conditions. These conditions include signing a new form of franchise agreement.

To renew the franchise agreement, the Gokhale Method franchisee must provide written notice of their decision to renew. This notice must be given no fewer than three months and no more than 12 months before the end of the current franchise term.

In addition to providing timely written notice, Gokhale Method may also require the franchisee to execute a general release in favor of the franchisor and sign a new version of the franchise agreement. These conditions are fairly standard in the franchising industry, as franchisors often update their agreements to reflect changes in the market or their business practices.
